Volume Two delves deeper into barbel behaviour, giving the viewer a unique insight into the feeding habits of barbel. Using state of the art technology, our cameras go even closer AND we’ve managed to raise the picture definition.

So why not join Barbel Society Chairman Steve Pope as he tackles the glorious River Kennet. Let Bob Roberts takes you to a tiny river where he has to overcome rafts of floating weed and debris following overnight rain and then watch Stuart Walker doing what he does best – he’s a fishing machine!

If you enjoy frenzied, spectacular action you won’t be disappointed. Real bites, real fights, real anglers. Add this to fascinating observations with effective technical instruction and you’ll see why this film is set to take the barbel fishing world by storm.

Running Time: 77 mins (approx)

Footnote:

The very first independent review of Volume Two was published by Graham Marsden on the Fishing Magic web site. In his review Graham stated:“Volume 2 was made with two cameras rather than one. Both the picture and sound are better quality (not that Volume 1 was poor) and the whole thing is slicker. I’m still full of admiration for how well two blokes who are basically anglers and not film makers can put together such quality DVD’s with a couple of camcorders and a computer.

They should find an investor and take it up professionally!”

If you’d like to read Graham’s full review before deciding to buy, you’ll find it here: http://www.fishingmagic.com/news/article/mps/UAN/5639/v/1/sp/

When Barbel Society Chairmen Steve Pope watched the film he wrote:

“All I can say is that the pair of you should be really proud, it’s a superb production, absolutely brilliant!

A massive step up from the first and bearing in mind that was an excellent first attempt this is praise indeed.

You deserve to sell out, and I’m sure you will.

If anyone, and I mean anyone, finds anything negative to say then they are not being honest, simple as that.

I really believe the two of you should continue, the format is spot on, watching just inspires you to be there and that has to be one of the most important factors in portraying fishing visually.

So be proud mate, I see a Bafta on the horizon!”
So what are you waiting for? Don’t just take their word for it, watch Volume Two and make up your own mind!

On Saturday 14/03 I received an e-mail from Stu Walker informing me that “Barbel Days and Ways” volume two would soon be available to buy. So I ordered a copy having bought volume one which I thoroughly enjoyed.Having placed my order I expected to wait until mid April to get my copy but to my amazement a copy drop though my letter box today.

I have just watched it and have to say it is just what I expected it to be, anyone who fails to enjoy this well presented trip into the world of barbel angling is surely missing something. It is a joy to watch anglers like Bob and Stu who clearly enjoy fishing for barbel and their enthusiasm has certainly rubbed off on me.I would like to thank both Bob and Stu sincerely because watching this DVD has reminded me of why I love barbel fishing so much and why I only fish rivers.

I can recommend both volumes one and two to anyone who enjoys barbel fishingand I give both volumes ten out of ten

Well done guys and you can be proud of both DVD’s and the way you have present them.

    Kind regards

    Ray

ordered my copy of the DVD on Wednesday PM and it arrived AM Easter Saturday.
I really didn’t want to buy this DVD, because of what Bob Roberts had written in the past on web-sites about the Barbel Society and Hazelford Piscatorial Society, both of which I have memberships.
But, being an open minded individual, and not one to hold a grudge, I decided I would.
So, first of all, a great speedy delivery service, thanks Kate.
Although I think both Bob, and Stuart need to brush up on their introduction skills, the rest of the commentary /chat came across naturally.
The photography was very good, particularly the underwater sequences.
I liked the way Steve Pope’s rig was discussed, going back over parts of the rig, just so that we all could see exactly what its constituent parts were.
I also was impressed with the discussion on short rigs, attached to a fixed lead. Being a free running lead/feeder user with no more than an 18inch hook length. I’ll stick with free running rigs I think.
All in all, a well produced DVD; I may well pick up volume 1 at The Barbel Show as well now.

    Well done to all involved.
