Have You Qualified…? £8,000 up for grabs…
2009 has been a fantastic summer for club match angling and the 263 names below stand testament to that. They’ve all qualified to fish in the Green Un Club Match Angler Championship Semi Final next May and we’re set for a record turn-out. With over four months of the competition still to run we’ve smashed all previous entry records so it’s a big thanks to all those hard working match secretaries who send in their results.
The names listed below have (or will be) published in the Green Un newsaper up to and including the edition on Saturday 21st November 2009. Those on the list have all won qualifying matches and will be eligible to compete in the semi final on Monday May 3rd, 2010, at a venue to be anounced shortly.
The competition is open to all clubs in the Green Un circulation area which is Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley. The competition is sponsored by Climax Tackle to the tune of £5,000 and with pools the total payout over the two matches will probably be in excess of £8,000.
Club match secretaries who submit 3 or more entries also receive an invite to fish and these have yet to be added to the list – give me a break, this is turning into a full-time job! Don’t worry, I know who you are and ca quickly sort the genuine from the chancers.
No action is needed just yet so sit tight in the knowledge you’re through to the big one. Full details will be published in the Green Un and on here when you need to know. The semi-final will be fished on Mayday Bank Holiday Monday, as ever.
