Oh well, all good things have to end eventually.

Having sailed round France, Portugal, Spain, Corsica and Sardinia in recent days, it was good to board a plane in Rome and head back to good old Blighty.

A man can only take so much luxury before his mind turns back to fishing and football.

When I’ve dealt with the mountain of emails and letters, caught up with a few looming deadlines, been out and shot a film for Improve Your Coarse Fishing TV (tomorrow), I’m hoping normal service can be resumed again on here.

Mind you, I can’t wait to wet a line again if I’m honest…

One of the nice  things about running bobrobertsonline is the number of private emails I get from genuinely enthusiastic anglers. I do my utmost to respond to every one, even if the answer is rather brief, but it can take a day or two to catch up when I’m away fishing, filming or if I’m chasing publication deadlines.

Unfortunately a few emails get snaffled by the spam filter along with the relentless offers of cheap viagra, Russian brides, penile extensions, get rich quick schemes and free passes for sites containing all manner of peversions. Sadly there’s little I can do. The spam filters are maxed out and there simply isn’t enough time in the world to check them all.

Someone’s even requested a new password for my uTube account today which tells me they’re up to no good. The only reason anyone could have for making such a request is that they have malicious intent in mind. But anyone who reads my blog regularly will already know that there are a few pathetic individuals out there who delight in registering false names, including mine, for email accounts.

But I need to sneak off and fish now and then, as you’ve noticed, because I practise what I preach. So please be aware that I’ll be pretty much unable to answer emails during the coming fortnight which means when I do get back online I’ll be completely snowed under for a while.

The site will still be here, as ever, and you can leave messages, but just don’t count on a quick reply until later on in the month.

As for the purchasing of DVDs, don’t worry. Sales will not be affected.

We will continue with our aim to dispatch every order received within 24 hours, just as we always have done, and just as we always will do, it’s only personal emails to me that will be affected.

Now turn off the computer and go fishing, that’s an order!
