A Personal Message For Tony Rocca.
With regard to the ‘doctored’ photograph of my wife in your latest blog post:
You know, Tony, there are some rather inadequate people in the world. To all intents and purposes they appear outwardly to be normal, but they’re not. They’re disfunctional obsessives and you are one. A petty misfit. A man who is aroused by trying to demean and belittle those who’s status you secretly covet. Driven by jealousy you always need to find new ways to appear important, to show off, to be a player, when all the world can see you’re just a sad buffoon.
Your insecurities are writ across your every action. A ‘man’ (in this case such an inapropriate word) in denial. You’d love to be someone, but you’re a nobody. An insufferable little toady who’s never happier than when he gathers a bunch of sycophants near, promising treats to win their friendship.
Yet you will lurk in the dark shadows when I give talks but never approach me or make youself known. Odd behaviour for someone who likes to ‘give it large’ on the Internet. Sadly you aren’t happy, are you? Your bitterness and jealousy consumes you. It eats away at you day and night till you can stand it no more.
Besmirching my character no longer gives you the thrill it used to, so you need to go further each time, desperate for recognition, eager for some kind of response.
However, even the dregs of society recognise that there are lines you do not cross, but with you it was only a matter of time, a simple case of opportunity, and eventually you found it. You stole a picture of my wife…
It was too much to resist, wasn’t it? Oh what fun it must have given you to distort her features in some digital imaging software and then publish the results on the Internet, compounding the insult further suggesting I met her through a ‘Mishapes Dating Agency’.
Oh, how I laughed…
Did you actually ejaculate?
Underneath you goaded me further, ‘Que Bob going beserk’.
Surely you meant cue, or was it queue? Doesn’t really matter when you’re dyslexic does it? Or thick.
Well, I haven’t gone beserk. Far from it. This is measured and deliberate.
You see, I feel pity for you. Honestly, you are beneath my contempt; beneath anyone’s for that matter. That is why I do not respond to the emails you send me.
If posting distorted pictures on the Internet and insulting my wife is the best you can do, well…
I know pre-pubescents who can do better.
But you know this is a step too far. Calculated disrespect of a loved one in the hope of provoking an extreme reaction says so much about you. And you’ll leave the manipulated photo up there, won’t you? Because you think that’s clever, too. Look at me folks, I’m going to publicly humiliate a total strangers’ wife.
But who looks the biggest fool, Tony?
Perhaps you’d like to attend the Trent Anglers’ Night Out next month where you and I can discuss your artwork like real men?
Footnote 1: The owner of the photograph has contacted me (with an apology) telling me that the image was stolen and used without permission. He has subsequently contacted Tony Rocca and requested he remove it immediately.
Rocca has refused to do so.
Footnote 2: I contacted Conrad Farlow and politely asked for details of his web host, requesting that he kept the matter between us. Let’s just say he hasn’t. And despite the fact that he’s hosting Rocca’s blog he says he doesn’t want to be involved and that the content is nothing to do with him.
Sorry Conrad, when you host stuff like this it has everything to do with you…

People like this toad always make a mistake…give him enough rope and he will hang himself for you.
I just hope that he backs away and vanishes into the darkness beneath the rock that he first crawled out from and leaves you and your good lady alone.

I know I have posted Bob but I felt this may be the only place that Mr Rocca may see this as I am unable to post on his blog.
I have a young lady in my organisation who has a face that is mishaped and I feel that Mr Rocca is not only insulting your wife but taking the P**s out of people with disabilities.
A very poor show Mr Rocca you should be ashamed of yourself you obviously have no feelings for people with facial disfigurement….and if you want to know who I am just ask.

Bob,
just received an e-mail from Peter regarding the hippy photo being distorted. Read your response and followed the trail to find the Tony Rocca blog.
I can only apologise for my naivite in making it possible for him to get hold of the original image. I posted it on what I thought was a humourous thread and captioned it as “Bob models new clothing range” or something like that.
Have just followed a few links from your site and now realise that there are a lot of sick people out there who take delight in ridiculing others.

If anyone is wondering who ‘Nick’ is, I trust he doesn’t mind me mentioning that he’s Nick Rowe, a man I first met at Anglers Paradise around 5 years ago and feel privileged to call a friend.
Nick is a prime mover and shaker with Reels On Wheels, the disabled anglers’ charity.
I am honoured to be a patron of Reels on Wheels. Something which you would have/will read about anyway in my next blog.

Bob do you not realise that mentioning my wife at all is also wrong and I would appreciate it if you would remove the footnote from your blog.
I will remove all references to you from my domain if you agree to do the same for me. This will take me a day or two to organise so please bear with me.
I gave you the details of my web host as you requested without hesitation. As I also said in my email I was actually on the phone to Tony as I was reading your email. Your request was at the bottom and I didn’t not see it until I had related some of the content to Tony, it concerned him and so I did not see why I should not. I would not have done so had I read it first, so for that I apologise.
I feel that I have been somewhat naive my thinking. I cannot believe the depths to which this ongoing spat between you and Tony runs. As I am not personally capable of that level of hate it has caught me unawares.

You are missing the point entirely. I do not require you to remove all references to me from your blog. If you, Mr Rocca, or anyone else choose to ridicule me then that is not an issue providing that:
1. The content is factual, truthful and can be supported with evidence (or at least it is funny!).
2. Those who live by the sword are prepared to die by the sword.
The point you appear blind to is that my wife has been insulted on your web site in a deliberately malicious and provocative manner.
The insult has been seen as being unkind to people with disabilities, too, invoking the wrath of at least one national charity for the disabled.
The image itself was stolen and the owner has expressed his right to copyright, yet Mr Rocca has seen fit in his wisdom (yesterday) to refuse to remove the image, rebuking the copyright owner in the process.
You own the domain on which this material was hosted. You were fully aware it was there and of the upset it has caused to several parties yet you still try to pretend it is nothing to do with you.
It is EVERYTHING to do with you and you carry the responsibility for anything that is published on your web site. Please don’t think that grudgingly backing down now will not prevent legal procedings.
When a full public apology is issued to the injured parties here, and on the site where the offending material was first published, in proportionate sizes, I will remove Footnote 1 to the article above, as you request.
As to your protestations of naivety about the level of Mr Rocca’s hate, for Christ’s sake, you go fishing with him! And you host his blog, which may have landed you in a heap of trouble…

Bob I apologise to you for any offence that I have caused you and your wife by hosting Tony Rocca’s blog which contained the aforementioned offensive image. I will publish an apology on my blog but I do not have the passwords to access Tony’s blog.
I will state that I do feel that the use of your wife’s image in this way was inappropriate.
I do not ridicule anyone, nor do I ever intend to do so.
As the offending material has been removed as requested then I do not believe that I have a case to answer. I have complied with your requests to the best of my abilities and I would like this to be the last of it.

Dear Bob,
Brian told me about the picture of your wife posted on the internet. He was very disgusted and angry about it. He went to show it to me this morning but it had been removed. Congratulations on your reply - a magnificent command of the English Language..
I don’t fish so I have no knowledge of the personalities involved in this saga but my opinion of Tony is that he must be about 13 with a puerile mentality.
I hope that this episode is finished for your sake and that of your wife who must have been very upset. We both wish you every happiness in your marriage.
Brian is booked on one of your courses in August and is looking forward to it very much. In fact I am not too sure which he is most excited about - August or our forthcoming trip of 9 weeks to Australia and NZ!!

I somehow think you would see things very differently if somone set out to publicly humiliate YOUR wife on the Internet, Trevor.
Look again at what he wrote sir; a blog comprising of two lines, the first was an insult to my wife, the second blatantly goaded me to react. These topped and tailed a photograph that had been doctored to portray my wife as disfigured.
As much as I despise a ‘man’ who can sink to such levels I would never, under any circumstances, involve his wife or partner in what began as a fishing spat.
That he refused to remove the doctored photograph after being asked to do so by his own friend and web host says much, don’t you think?
When requested by the owner of the photograph (from whom it was stolen) to remove it, he adamantly refused.
That he is threatening at this very moment, on his site, to use the image elsewhere on the Internet, should tell you that this is far from fnished and that I am not over-reacting.
With regard to dyslexia and learning issues, I have a daughter with dyslexia. It doesn’t prevent her from being polite, bubbly and generous. Nor did it prevent her from attaining a science degree. As it happens my wife is the head of a school with an autistic unit so it’s fair to say I fully understand learning issues, too, regularly spending time, as I do, with these children.

Given the situation then Bob, I’m surprised that you made such a flippant remark about dyslexia.
Don’t get me wrong, i think that Tony over stepped the mark too, but this whole episode has been going on for so long, do either of you actually remember what you’re fighting about?
You both bait each other on your blogs and wait for the other to bite. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened!
Shame that you both have to air your dirty laundry in public as it’s ruining 2 good blogs!

Thing is Bob, you don’t understand that when you keep bad mouthing others all the time in your blogs it rebounds.
The Mayor Of Doncaster, a weak cartoon of me, digs at Fred Bonney and Steve Pope etc etc.(the last two have often supported you and got kicked by you for it) that you simply perpetuate everything. Most of your blogs contain at least six or seven character assasinations.
You might well wonder why so many people dislike you.
You should be an Ambassador of Angling, not a pompous Mr Angry all the time.
Have a good re read of your last few blogs and honestly say you don’t sound like a rather nasty person.

I’m sorry Graham but I haven’t been able to take you seriously since your outrageous behaviour following my appearance on Sky TV, not to mention all the bad mouthing of me that you’ve done on various Internet forums since then.
