Stop Press: A bumper Christmas Blog (part one) will be published on Monday 15th December 2013!

I’m getting regular (nice) emails from site visitors asking what’s happened with my blog – has it moved some place else, have I stopped writing it, is everything okay and so on. The answer is simple. I’m currently up to my ears in buying and selling houses, dealing with builders, solicitors, estate agents and so on.

I’m sure many of you know what it’s like but trust me, it gets a little bit more involved when you’re renovating a farmhouse dating back to the mid-1700s in a conservation area.

It’s a time thing, a question of priorities, and the paid work has to take precedence or the bills don’t get paid. That and the certaintity that if you don’t hit your newspaper and magazine deadlines you’re finished.

I’m struggling to find time to fish, things have been so busy. As a consequence the blog is temporarily suspended – on hold if you like. But rest assured it will be back shortly.
